DPx Gear’s H.E.S.T. II Woodsman review

We were not previously familar with the knives from DPx Gear before this review but you can bet we’ll be keeping tabs on them in the future.  This knife is a work of art but it is extremely well built so you can rest easy putting it through punishment. The wood grip on the handle fits perfectly in the hand without any slipping. As you can see from the picture, it has some tool points on the knife for wire stripper jimping and even a thumb grip bottle opener. I really like the fact that you can take apart the handle for cleaning after a day of field-dressing, caping and processing. This knife worked like a champ for all three and I found no need to re-sharpen during the process. As great as the knife itself looks, the sheath is quite a looker in its own right! The handmade Italian leather sheath snaps shut and covers the handle so it won’t snag on clothing or brush. Overall, this knife looks classy but still badass! It’s the perfect combination of size and design to work in any hunting situation. We usually don’t advocate spending this much money on a knife unless it’s the only one you’ll buy in the next 2 decades! The Woodsman is that good, has a timeless look to it and get’s the job done in all arenas! It also comes with a lifetime, no questions asked guarentee! Check out www.dpxgear.com today and get this thing in your gear bag for the fall!
