Last year we brought you a bowhunting contest with point values based on bucks and does shot with an arrow.  This year we decided to do a photo contest that applies to Deer shot in any part of the 2009 season (Archery, Muzzeloader, Regular Firearm).   Whitetail AND/OR Mulies are both fair game in this contest.

This year's contest is sponsored by Beyond Backpacks (www.beyondbackpacks.com) and they are fronting up a backpack blind for the winner of this contest.

Here's how the contest works:

1. Submit a photo of yourself with your 2009 Deer Kill (Buck or Doe) and you're entered into the contest (Maximum of 2 photo entries per member)
2. We will pick our 5 favorite photos at the end of the contest and you can all vote for the winning photo out of those top 5.
3. Photo with the most votes will receive the BackPack Blind from Beyond Backpacks
($99 Value)  ;D
4. Photo with the 2nd Most votes will receive a "Clip-Shot" camera clamp
(http://clip-shot.appspot.com) to help you get yourself AND your hunting buddy in the picture on that next hunt  ($19.99 Value) ;D

**Photos may be posted throughout the season but the deadline for photo entry HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JAN. 29TH AT NOON**

Remember, we're all about preserving the Heritage so let's get out there and snap those pics this season.  You'll be glad you did in a few years when you're thumbing through that photo album.  Feel free to PM me if you've got questions about how to post your photos.

Let the fun begin!!!

If it's a "Deer" and it's legal in your state, we'll take it as an entry  ;D

Contest is not exclusive to just Whitetails.

I decided to replace the doe photo with his one of Jake with my buck. I didn't hear back on my question about swapping photos so if it's an issue, I'll repost the doe photo.

My son has really brought me to a new level of hunting I've never been before with both my archery deer this year and I loved it ;D To all you new parents out there, you just wait and you'll see what I'm talking about ;)

Nick, that's a great photo!

Sometimes, I get jealous on this website when I see pictures like that.  I've been in SC for 1.5 years and am still without a deer.  Glad to see that someone's getting some action.

My boy will turn 2 in two weeks, and I am eagerly awaiting my first hunting trip with him.
