Jake with "The Tooky River Buck"

« on: June 04, 2012, 03:43:51 PM »

Well time to look back at the 2012 season and reflect Reflect on what I did right, what I did wrong, where to improve and plan for next year. I know that the one bird Jake had just on the other side of a stone wall lives so plans for fall hunting him are in the works for me The last group of gobblers I called in for him all made it so they will be added to my list of hunting spots for next spring.

In Vermont, I’ve got my sights set on new area that needs to be checked into for the 2013 season. I knew about this area for a few years now but just never got around to looking at it closer. From the aerial photos of the area, it looks like it could be yet another honey hole of an area

Over all (except for the weather we had in WV camp and being ill) the 2012 season was pretty darn good. I had a few slob issues, worked a lot of birds and was on a lot of awesome hunts. My son didn't connect but the hunts he was on were beyond priceless and ones he's never forget

I love being lucky! Lucky to have a wonderful wife that allows me to chase gobblers as much as I do
